Audio Rooms are like large group phone calls—perfect for virtual events or casual, spontaneous hangouts. Up to 100 people can join an Audio Room at the same time. Once you’re in, you can ping other Group members to invite them to join you, and they’ll receive a push notification letting them know you want to hang out.
Audio Room Overview
In an Audio Room, you can:
- See who is connected by the avatars next to the room name
- See who is talking in the room by the audio indicator around their profile
- Mute yourself or leave the call with the controls in the bottom right
- See who is connected and ping more members to join in from the room members list
Joining an Audio Room
To join an audio room:
- Tap the name of the room in the room’s list
- Press "Connect"
- You'll start muted. To unmute yourself, press the "mute/unmute" button in the control panel at the bottom of your screen.
Disconnecting from an Audio Room
To disconnect from an audio room, press the red disconnect icon (in the control panel at the bottom of the room, on the far right). It looks like a phone with a red "x" above it.
Muting & unmuting yourself
To mute yourself, press the mute/unmute button in the control panel at the bottom of your screen.
Inviting people to join you
Looking for a conversation? Jump into an audio room and ping others to join you!
- Connect to an Audio Room
- Tap the Members icon in the top-right corner of the screen to view the room’s member list
- Tap ‘Ping’ next to anyone you’d like to invite
They’ll receive a push notification that says “[Your Name] wants to talk” and can tap it to join the room. You can also tap ‘Ping Everyone’ at the bottom of the list to notify all room members at once.
