Waving at someone
Waving is how you show interest in someone’s profile.
- Send a wave: You can wave from a profile card in the People Discovery feed or directly within someone’s profile.
- Undo a wave: Accidentally waved? From the profile card, you’ll see the option to undo. If you’re inside the profile, simply tap back to the feed to use the undo option.
- No “no” option: There’s no need to actively say no. Just keep scrolling if someone isn’t the right fit.
- Report a profile: If you see something that doesn’t belong on a profile, tap the three-dot menu in the upper right corner of the profile to report it.
Making a match
- If you wave at someone and they wave back, you’ll match and be able to start a conversation.
- When you wave at someone, a small badge appears on their profile card to show your interest.
- Likewise, you’ll see a badge on the profile cards of people who have waved at you, making them easy to spot in the feed.
Starting a conversation
- Once you’ve matched, your connection will appear in the Chats tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- New matches show at the top of the tab and will remain visible for 72 hours.
- Tap a match to start chatting. Your conversations will appear in the Chats list, with the most recent ones at the top.
- If you delete a message sent via DM, it is removed for both people in the conversation. This usually happens immediately, although a short delay may occur before the deletion is reflected on both sides.
