Connecting your phone contacts with BFF makes it easier to invite friends to your Groups and discover Groups your friends are already part of.
Syncing your contacts is completely optional. If you choose not to connect them, you can still invite people by copying and sharing your Group invite link.
Don’t worry—we’ll never message or spam your contacts without your permission. You can disconnect or unsync your contacts at any time through your phone’s settings.
How contact sync works
You may be prompted to sync your contacts with BFF when you first start using the app or when performing certain actions.
For example, when you invite someone to your Group using “Add from Contacts,” we’ll ask for access to your contacts to make it easier to find and invite your friends
Notifications when your contacts join BFF
If you’ve connected your contacts, you may receive a notification when someone from your contacts joins BFF.
If you’d prefer not to receive these notifications, you can disconnect or unsync your contacts from BFF.

If you don’t want people who have your phone number to find you on BFF, you can turn off “Allow contacts to find me” in the Privacy section of your account settings.
If you’d prefer that your contacts cannot see the Groups you’re part of, you can also turn off “Allow contacts to discover me.”
