To keep BFF secure and working as expected, we occasionally update the minimum operating system (OS) and app version required to use the app. This article explains what that means for your device and access to BFF.
Why we update our requirements
Each new version of iOS, Android, and the BFF app includes important updates that improve security, privacy, and performance. Additionally, older versions may not support newer features in BFF. Updating our minimum requirements helps ensure a safe and consistent experience for everyone.
What happens when your OS or app is no longer supported
If your OS or app version no longer meets our minimum requirements, you may see one of the following:
A warning message: You’ll be notified in advance that your OS will soon be unsupported
A lockout screen: Once support officially ends, you’ll be prompted to update your OS or app before you can access BFF
If your device can’t update to a newer OS version, you’ll no longer be able to use BFF on that device. However, you can still log in to your account on another supported phone or tablet.
Staying up to date
To avoid interruptions:
Keep your operating system and the BFF app updated whenever possible
Enable automatic app updates in the App Store or Google Play
Check your phone’s settings for available system updates
