We know how important your connections are, and we want to make sure you can keep making meaningful friendships without interruption. If you’re having trouble using BFF, try these troubleshooting steps before reaching out for support:
Check your internet connection
A weak or unstable internet connection can cause issues with loading profiles, sending messages, or updating your account.
- Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi or have a stable mobile data signal
- Try toggling Airplane Mode on and off
- If possible, test BFF on another Wi-Fi network or data connection to rule out connection issues
Update or reinstall the app
Outdated app versions can lead to glitches or crashes.
- Visit your device’s App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
- Search for BFF and check for an Update button
Log out and back in
Sometimes simply signing out can refresh your session.
- Tap your profile icon → Settings → scroll down → Log out
- Close the app completely, then open it and log in again
Check your app permissions
BFF needs certain permissions to work correctly.
On your device, make sure that BFF has access to:
- Location services (so we can show you people nearby)
- Camera and Photos (to upload or take pictures)
- Notifications (so you don’t miss messages)
Restart your device
Restarting your phone can clear temporary issues affecting app performance.
