We’re committed to fostering a safe, respectful community on BFF. Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) has no place here.
What is NCII?
NCII refers to intimate or sexual images or videos that are shared, posted, or threatened to be shared without the consent of the person depicted. This includes real photos or videos, as well as altered or AI-generated (synthetic) content, and content that may have originally been shared consensually but is later distributed without permission.
To strengthen our response to existing and up-coming laws around NCII, we’ve introduced a dedicated reporting form that allows both members and non-members to report NCII found on BFF. You can report content involving yourself, or on behalf of someone you know, as long as you have their consent.
How to use this form
To help us act quickly, you’ll be asked for basic contact details so we can update you on your report, along with information about what you’re reporting—such as whether the content relates to you or someone else, the type of imagery, and a description of the content. If you have it, you can upload screenshots of the profile belonging to the person sharing the content. Because BFF uses unique usernames, sharing the exact profile name can be especially helpful. You’ll also have the option to provide additional details like age, location, profile bio, or—if relevant—group or room information where the content was shared. Please know there’s no need to share the intimate image with our team.
Every report is reviewed by our dedicated Safety team. Where violations are confirmed, we take action swiftly, including removing the reported content. We’ll keep you informed on the status of your report, and may reach out to you if we need additional information to help identify the content.
We understand how sensitive these situations are and treat every report with urgency, care, and respect.
Support Resource
We recognise that experiencing or reporting NCII can be deeply distressing. If you’re looking for additional support, we partner with Chayn, a global organisation supporting survivors of gender-based violence who run our Bloom programme. Together, we offer free, trauma-informed support for survivors, including a specialised course on image-based abuse and recovery, which you can access here.
