Your profile helps others get to know you. The more information you add, the easier it is for other members to get to know you. However, this is still the internet. As with all social platforms, please be aware of what information you are putting out into the world.
Editing your profile
- You can view and edit your profile from the Me tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- Preview how others will view your profile from this tab and tap the Edit profile button to make changes.
Age
- Your age is locked once you enter your date of birth during account set-up, but if you've made a mistake, you can contact Support to update this for you.
- You can also choose whether your age is visible on your profile from the 'Me' tab:
- Tap on the 'Settings' cog, then tap 'Privacy'
- Tap the switch next to 'Show my age on my profile' to turn visibility on or off
Location
- Edit your location by tapping the pencil next to the listed location. Select ‘Current Location’ to set it to where you are currently.
- You can drag the map as needed to select a specific location or adjust the auto-set location.
- This location is always visible in your profile.
Bio
- Add a bit to introduce yourself! This can be basically anything you want, but keep in mind there are dedicated interests sections as well as a spot to add social media links further down.
Interests
- Interests allow you to get specific about the things you care about and the stuff you are looking to do.
- Type to add a new interest or choose from popular interests others have added.
- You can add up to 10 interests in each section.
- At least one interest is required to be shown in People Discovery.
Groups
-
Any public Groups you’ve joined will automatically appear on your profile. You can choose which Groups are visible:
- Tap the pencil icon next to Groups to see the full list.
- Use the toggle next to each Group to show or hide it on your profile.
Photo prompts
- Show off what is uniquely you by adding up to three photo prompts to your profile.
- Choose from a provided prompt or change the text to your own. Then add up to six photos to be displayed with each prompt.
- Photo prompts are optional but highly recommended to allow others to get to know you.
Basic info
- Add in details around your education (must be more than 2 characters), work, pronouns, gender, sexuality, and relationship.
- In this section, only gender is a required field, but you can control if this is shown or hidden on your profile by:
- Tapping on the ‘Settings’ cog on the 'Me' tab
- Then tap on 'Privacy'
- Tap the switch next to 'Show my gender on my profile' to turn visibility on or off
Links
- Add links to your Instagram account, TikTok, or other website here.
